F1 Fantasy League R2 Update

🥇 Championship Leader – Octane 77

Octane 77 (Mark Buttigieg) continues to lead the championship after another strong round. Adding 397 points in Round 2 to his already impressive Round 1 total, Mark now sits on 595 points overall.

That consistency across both rounds has allowed him to maintain a solid lead at the top of the standings and establish himself as the early championship favourite.

🥈 Comeback of the Round

The biggest story of Round 2 belongs to Octane Australia Racing (Brett Gray).

After a difficult opening round that produced just 12 points, Brett delivered a huge response with 484 points in Round 2, launching himself all the way up to P2 in the championship with 540 points.

It’s one of the biggest single-round turnarounds the league has seen and immediately puts him into the title conversation.

🥉 Kev Joins the Podium Fight

Kevs amazing team (Kevin King) also had a strong weekend, scoring 298 points in Round 2 to bring his total up to 469 points.

Kevin now sits in P3 overall, firmly in the fight for second place and within striking distance should the leaders stumble in future rounds.

⚔️ The Midfield Battle

The middle of the table is incredibly tight, with three teams separated by only 14 points:

  • Finland Racing (Simon Tervo) – 365 pts

  • blackstang427 (Robert Isler) – 357 pts

  • Brett is slow Team (Oproescu Nandor) – 351 pts

With such a small gap between them, a single good round could easily reshuffle the order.

🔮 Looking Ahead to Round 3

After two rounds, the championship is beginning to develop clear storylines:

  • Octane 77 holding a strong lead at the top

  • Octane Australia Racing charging back into contention

  • Kevs amazing team quietly building a solid title challenge

  • A three-team midfield fight that could explode in the next round

With plenty of races still to come, the OctaneRacing.net F1 Fantasy Championship is only just getting started — and Round 3 could bring even more movement in the standings.

Octane 77 Surges Ahead After Sprint Race & Qualifying

Hamilton–Verstappen pairing powers Buttigieg’s squad into a commanding fantasy lead as the battle behind tightens heading into the feature race.

The sprint race weekend delivered fireworks both on track and in the Octane Racing F1 Fantasy League, and while the racing itself kept fans on the edge of their seats, the fantasy standings produced a story of dominance at the top and a fierce scrap behind.

Mark Buttigieg’s Octane 77 has emerged as the early benchmark of the season, but with only being round 2 he has to stay on his toes and be carefull.

With the feature race still to come, the championship narrative is already beginning to form.

📰 Championship Story

Octane 77 Throws Down the Gauntlet

At the front of the pack, Octane 77 has delivered a near-perfect fantasy weekend. Sitting on 423 points, Buttigieg’s squad has built a cushion over the chasing teams.

The foundation of that success lies in a devastating driver pairing of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, arguably the strongest combination in the league right now. With additional contributions from Franco Colapinto, Arvid Lindblad, and Sergio Perez, the team has managed to score consistently across the entire lineup.

The constructors—Ferrari and Haas F1 Team—have also quietly delivered valuable points, giving Octane 77 the kind of balanced scoring every fantasy manager dreams of.

For the rest of the league, the message is clear: catching Octane 77 will take something special.

Gray vs King: The Fight for Second

Behind the leader, the battle for second place is heating up.

Brett Gray’s Octane Australia Racing currently holds the advantage on 296 points, but the gap to Kevin King’s Kevs amazing team is just five points.

Gray’s lineup is stacked with proven race winners and podium contenders, including Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Kimi Antonelli, and Charles Leclerc. With Ferrari and Mercedes as constructors, the team has the raw firepower to produce huge points hauls.

Meanwhile, King’s strategy has focused more on emerging talent. Drivers like Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, and Oliver Bearman have become key contributors, supported by Liam Lawson and Esteban Ocon. Backed by Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, the team is poised to strike if the young guns deliver.

Midfield Mayhem

Just outside the podium, the competition is incredibly tight.

Robert Isler’s blackstang427 holds fourth with 284 points, thanks largely to Max Verstappen anchoring the team alongside rising stars like Hadjar, Bearman, and Gabriel Bortoleto.

Not far behind is Oproescu Nandor’s Brett is slow Team, sitting on 277 points and running a similar youth-heavy strategy built around Verstappen and the next generation of talent.

Rounding out the top six is Simon Tervo’s finland racing on 261 points, still well within striking distance if the feature race produces unexpected results.

With just 35 points separating second and sixth, the midfield battle is far from settled.

🥇 Octane 77 – Mark Buttigieg – 154 pts

It’s lights out and domination for Mark Buttigieg’s Octane 77, who has stormed into the championship lead with a commanding 154 points. With heavy hitters Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton leading the charge and supported by Franco Colapinto, Arvid Lindblad, and Sergio Perez, this lineup has been relentless.

Backed by constructors Ferrari and Haas F1 Team, Buttigieg has built an early 50-point cushion at the top. The message to the rest of the grid is clear: if you want the title, you’ll have to chase him down.

🥈 Finland Racing – Simon Tervo – 104 pts

In second place sits Simon Tervo’s Finland Racing with 104 points, keeping the championship fight alive. With Max Verstappen once again proving a cornerstone pick, alongside Carlos Sainz, Valtteri Bottas, Oliver Bearman, and Alexander Albon, this squad has quietly but consistently racked up the points.

With Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls in the constructor slots, Tervo has the firepower to keep pressure on the leader if momentum swings his way.

5️⃣ Kevs Amazing Team – Kevin King – 86 pts

Just behind the podium fight is Kevin King’s Kevs Amazing Team on 86 points. With Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, Liam Lawson, Esteban Ocon, and Oliver Bearman, King has assembled a squad that’s knocking on the door of the top three.

Add in powerhouse constructors Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, and the gap to the podium could disappear in a single race weekend.

6️⃣ T1 – Octane Australia Racing – Brett Gray – 12 pts

At the back of the standings—for now—is Brett Gray’s T1 – Octane Australia Racing with 12 points. But with Oscar Piastri, Alexander Albon, Esteban Ocon, Franco Colapinto, and Oliver Bearman in the garage, plus constructors McLaren and Alpine, there’s plenty of potential waiting to be unleashed.

And as every F1 fan knows… one big weekend can change everything.

📊 Championship Picture

  • Octane 77 leads by 50 points in a statement start to the season.

  • The battle for P3 is tied with two teams locked on 93 points.

  • Just 7 points separate 3rd and 5th, setting up a thrilling midfield fight.

With the season still unfolding, strategy, driver form, and a bit of racing luck could turn this leaderboard upside down.

The question now:
Can anyone stop Octane 77, or are we witnessing the start of a fantasy championship runaway? 🏆🏎️💨
